Return of the Ex-Partner

There is a duty-free zone that exists between Malaysia and Thailand. Here, you can shop, play golf and enjoy other recreational activities without the need of getting your passport stamped.

In Sunya we teach that love and compassion must be unconditional.

I met the ex-partners in this zone since I did not want to indulge in any business in Thailand with them at that point of time. After I met them, they started talking about the problems that they faced from few local competitors. They had formed an alliance with a company and they held 49% of shares each. The remaining 2% was owned by a Thai market motivator. This company they had formed an alliance with was an imitator of DXN. However, their products were degenerating and they did not have nearly the same quality as our company.

Prior to this when they had met them in their office, there were many DXN products available there. They claimed to be our suppliers. Initially, our ex-partner fell for the rumors but later they started getting skeptical as there were tons of empty DXN bottles that were being discarded. Later they realized that our imitators were actually buying DXN products and emptying it into their own canisters. To top this, they were not even fluent in English. The imitator’s wife was fluent in Thai but she was not well equipped in the field of Ganotherapy. They hired a Thai trainer, who was trained by me! So inherently, they were using our methods in almost every way possible. When asked to visit their factory, the imitators were cunning enough to bring them to our very own factory!

They photoshopped their company name and logo and removed ours! They took it a step further and tried bullying our ex-partner into getting more shares of the company. They claimed to have 51% when compared to the other 49%. I bawled into laughter and asked them why they thought it was okay to let go off DXN and join hands with a smaller company who was feeding off of our fame and profit. Our ex-partner said that they were deceived by their claims of being our suppliers. I told them that many MLM companies in the market were not genuine and that it would be really hard to have faith in them. They tend to paint a pretty picture on the outside but things are not the same when you dive deep and dwell in their business.

Our imitators tried taking over their company in a gradual process. First, they claimed to be the majority shareholder. After that they tried to transfer all the financial and digital data to their name. After all this, our ex-partner was keen on joining us again but I turned down his request. My brother, Boon Yee, informed me that there were several imitators of our company and if we didn’t take our ex-partner back, they would join forces with these companies. Nevertheless, that thought didn’t instill fear in me and I went ahead with my decision of not taking them back.

After my rejection, they started requesting my brother to take them back. However, they were persistent and sent a spokesperson on their behalf. They were ready to comply with all our terms and conditions as they were desperate to join hands with us again. We incorporate an either-or policy where the company is either completely owned by us or it is completely owned by an external agency. This helps to implement our One World One Market policy. I put a lot of thought into it and accepted them back as stockists. Presently, Thailand is a major market for our company. In fact, we have more member who hail from Thailand than Malaysia. - Datuk Dr. Lim Siow Jin.

Crisis Into Opportunity

Let’s go all the way back to 1997. It was in that year that we had to make a complicated choice: whether to focus on Thailand or Indonesia as the next major market for the development of our company. Just like how life tends to be, there were advantages and disadvantages for both these countries.

Thailand is a neighboring country to Malaysia and is just a 45-minute road trip from our farms and factories. The only issue was that most of them speak only Thai and close to no English. In the southern region, few of them speak Malay but they are considered to be a minority there. Language was a big hindrance to our business. To top that, the meeting with the local partner didn’t go according to plan as well. They were displeased with what we had to present.

In Indonesia’s case, language was not an issue since Malaysians and Indonesians speak a dialect that is almost similar. Distance wise, it was an issue since we had to cross the sea to reach there. In life, we always have to make choices. Some would be easy but some would be tough. Finally, we decided to go forward with Indonesia.

Various formalities like licenses and permits took a while. During fall of 1997, we established ourselves in an office in Jakarta. Just as we got settled, we faced a huge complication: the crash of the Asian economy. In terms of sales, DXN was thriving in the market. We were storing surplus amounts of our products to aid in the expansion of our company. This saved DXN during the economic crisis.

The exchange rate at that time was 2500 rupiah to 1 USD. That slowly climbed to 3400 and eventually 5000. People were in a state of dilemma as to what must be done to tackle this issue. They said that if it inflated to 8000, it would surely mean death. Sadly, it touched 15000 and what they predicted was right. There was news all around that few suicides were reported due to financial loss.

The value of the currency however showed no signs of falling. It kept decreasing on a day-to-day basis and people were astonished by it. The new year did not turn out to be better as well. Things went from bad to worse in the dawn of 1998. No matter how much we increased our prices, there was no way of tackling this issue. Budiman Salam, a man who was instrumental in our success had gathered a meeting of around 600 people.

It was a moment I would never forget. There was dead silence all over. The room was filled with anxiety and anticipation. They were eager to listen to the announcement I had to make. It was a choice between increasing prices and closing shop. Either of them would be disastrous.

That day, I knew what stage fright really meant. It was something that I had never experienced before. I consulted Budiman regarding the amount of stock we had left at the warehouse. He said that it was sufficient for about four months. I was certain about one thing. There was no point in increasing the prices as it would not make things right in any way. I started speaking to the crowd and reassured them that we have come back from such economic difficulties before.

This was a hurdle that we could definitely cross. I made a decision that shook everyone that was present. This was a historic moment in our company. I announced that for the next four months, we would not increase our prices. The crowd erupted in happiness and started singing motivational songs. This news sent shockwaves throughout the market. Several MLM companies were already out of business but we somehow stayed put. All their members joined our company amidst the crisis.

During the peak, there was close to 50,000 members joining DXN in a month. The money we lost in terms of prices was compensated by the member fees. This kept the company afloat. This is to show that it’s possible to achieve anything we put our mind to. Obstacles are meant to be overcome.

Big Gathering in Davao

During the inception of our time in Philippines, not many people showed up for our meetings. We needed to mobilize the market. The more you mobilize, the higher the sales in that market and it is as simple as that. The leaders in Davao pronounced to hold a meeting for around 800 people. That was a stupendous number when compared to the 30-40 people that we used to have in Manila.

In marketing, you shouldn’t take rejection negatively as there is always a
reason for the customer to reject.

The leaders invited me for this meeting and I happily obliged. However, as soon as I reached Manila, I was informed that the American embassy had broadcasted a red warning to those who were travelling to Davao, as there were bomb threats by terrorists that were brewing in the air. This put me in a dilemma but I was reassured by the leaders in Davao that they would put forth the best security and would make sure that the meeting takes place smoothly. Many people had advised me to not go forward with this plan as there were bombings that had already taken place in the southern regions of the Philippines. This put me in a conundrum because if I wouldn’t go, I would lose out on an opportunity to meet so many people and that would hurt the market. But at the same time, I knew I would be putting my life in danger.

Eventually, I decided to go ahead with the meeting since we had promised so many of our members. I requested the leaders to recruit high level security at all entries and exits and to allow only those who were deemed safe. With the situation that was ongoing at Philippines at that time, I decided to cut short my stay from five days to two days. I planned to leave as soon as I was done with the meeting. After arriving at Manila, I went to register myself at the Malaysian consulate. The lady working there was visibly surprised and an anxious by my arrival. She was not pleased about the fact that I came there despite the warning and red alert. I apologized to her and said that I have come to register myself and not to ask for protection. She advised me to leave the city as soon as my job there was done.

The meeting started and there were already a lot pf people queueing in long lines to get inside the hall. The security guards were really occupied with checking the bags and conducting thorough body searches. The leaders had estimated a meeting for around 700-800 people but almost 1500 showed up! The meeting was a huge success and the members were very enthusiastic. They applauded and cheered for everything that was being said. Many people also joined as new members after looking at the strength of the crowd that was present there. A strong bond was formed between the leaders and the members of DXN in that meeting.

A couple from an American aloe vera company had approached me during my initial visit to Davao while promoting DXN. They expressed that they faced a lot of issues with the company regarding their maintenance. They did not want to join DXN and that did not bother me since it was interesting to compare the systems of both the companies. DXN standardizes and synchronizes the marketing plan worldwide. Our products are mostly day-to-day products like coffee. In DXN, you also do not need to have high maintenance.

However, after hearing how our company functions, they decided to join in as members. It was them who later planned the enormous meeting that I had mentioned earlier.

Having said that, we produce our own raw materials and we are not affected by the ups and downs of the US dollar. Therefore, we only increase our prices once a year to adjust with the inflation in the market. This gathering in Davao was instrumental in making Philippines a major market for DXN.

To Worship or To Believe?

In Sunya, we steer clear of talking about God and religion. This does not mean that we do not believe in either. The only reason is because these topics tend to be sensitive and controversial. To top that, it has no relation with Sunya. Sunya is just a form of practice and it has nothing to do with religion. It is common to all regardless of their beliefs.

The role of Sunya is more like a teacher. You can choose your own Father and religion.

In the recent past, there have been allegations that Sunya is anti-Christian and non- Hindu. There were even accusations of it being against Dharma. These allegations were mostly put forward by the modern-day gurus and babas. Today, I am going to tell you about the very early days of Sunya and how the wife of an engineer, Chong, accused Sunya of being anti-Christian and how I had to face it. This is going to touch a few topics on religion, even though we do not have anything to promote it or be against it. As I mentioned earlier about how the viewers discretion is advised, if you feel like this would offend you in any way, I would suggest that you stop reading this right here.

Chong, our engineer, was sitting at the coffee table in the morning. After small talk, he mentioned that his wife believes that Sunya is anti-Christian and that she is completely against it. We do not really endorse the building of statues of gods but if the Sunyatee wants to go their place of worship, we will never interfere with them as long it does not interfere with the practice of Sunya.

Chong mentioned that his wife wanted to meet me, however, he did not want this meeting to take place since he was nervous that I would debate with her and we would have a falling-out. His wife kept insisting on meeting me and I had no issues with it since I wanted to settle down the misunderstanding as well. I went to their house and ran into another friend of mine, Mr. Chew, over there incidentally. It was around 9:30 in the night and Mr. Chew decided to take his leave. I thought I would do the same but Chong’s wife was eager to talk about Sunya and I made up my mind to stay on.

His wife told me that things were going great ever since Chong converted to Christianity. Nevertheless, their kids keep reciting the mantra “Om Mani Padme Hung” and that it was against Christianity. She accused me of breaking her family apart, somehow relating it to Sunya. I let her rant and ease her anger at me. She then asked me, “What is the point of reincarnation? Why do you want to suffer from one life to another?” I told her that reincarnation is a phenomenon and it cannot be changed. Just like how the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. I also told her that the reincarnation could be stopped in this very life if I wanted it to. This took her aback since she assumed that I was a Buddhist and this was the first time that she heard that reincarnation could be stopped.

I asked her if she knew where she would end up in her afterlife. She replied saying that she would be in Jesus’ mansion in heaven. I asked her if she knew this for a fact and she diverted the topic to the principles of Christianity. I asked her the same question once again and she started talking about Chong and her children. After constantly asking the same question, she told me that she was not sure. She asked me if I knew where I was going and I told her that I was sure about everything in the afterlife. This puzzled her and she asked me how I knew this. I told her about the concept of the Supreme Abode.

This involves the Supreme Consciousness in Buddha’s teachings. There are three things we have to do in order to go to the Supreme Abode. We have to have a Father, glorify his name and believe that you can go there. This comes under religious teachings and not Sunya. Father here means the Lord or God that you believe in. The role of Sunya is more like a teacher. You can choose your own Father and religion.

Sunya will provide neutral information that would change the entire course of life for the better. By glorifying, I do not mean worship. Worship is just blindly following someone. Glorifying means to follow their beliefs and practices. I told Chong’s wife that she only worshipped Jesus but did not have faith in him. This triggered her anger and she told me that she has been following Jesus and Christianity for around 20 years. She asked me if I was sure that she would go the kingdom of Jesus in her after life. I told her that God’s love is always unconditional. Love everyone and maintain peace and you shall go to His Kingdom. This convinced her and she opened up her mind to Sunya.

The Right Practice

In the past I have mentioned that we must not indulge in two types of practices – Nihilism and Absolutism. Nihilism focuses more on nothingness. It suggests us to fall into oblivion through meditation, by letting go off all worldly pleasures. Absolutism on the other hand, talks about how winning is the only reason for us to move forward in life and nothing else.

Following any of these principles will only put you in adversity and nothing else.

The key to practicing this by controlling your body first. After you master that, you can control your mind.

People who practice Nihilism question the purpose of materialistic commodities. Their logic being that we cannot take these objects along with us in the afterlife. This is more of a cult and this would only do harm to society and relationships. You cannot expect peace from such an environment. Absolutism rules out the option of failing completely. They don’t realize that most successful companies and businesses have actually failed initially before experiencing success. They tend to ignore that the most important part of failure is that we learn from our mistakes and become better with time.

In Sunya, we do just that. We train individuals to confront failure. You can be successful only when you learn how to deal with failure. Our company is the best example I can relate this topic to. DXN faced many difficulties and failures during the early days. However, we learned how to adapt to these challenges by modifying our marketing strategies and tactics to handle the market. We weathered through tough times and learnt how to be patient without giving up at the sight of adversity. Eventually, our sales picked up and we started achieving success, step by step. Even during COVID-19, while many businesses have gone into huge losses, we recovered quick enough since we were ready to handle a catastrophe.

In the past, few leaders questioned the precautions that were being taken since they were confident of being successful despite what the situation was like. We built multiple factories so we can continue production in at least few of them, in case of any emergency. We have factories in China, India, Indonesia and Mexico. For being prepared during emergencies, we started stocking up products as buffer stock. This came in handy during the lockdown since all of our factories were not functioning. Nevertheless, we did not let it affect us since we had six months’ worth of buffer stock left. So, the sales were continuing smoothly. So, since nihilism and absolutism are not the right practices, you may ask, “What is the right practice?” The right practice is something that does not interfere with your everyday activities and religious beliefs. According to me, the practice that fits the criteria is reverse counting. Reverse counting helps in easing and calming your mind down. It especially helps people who are suffering from depression and mental health issues.

Presently, we have more than tens of thousands of people who practice and follow Sunya. All you need to do is make time for yourself and practice it wholeheartedly. I would suggest to practice it after you wake up in the morning but if that is not possible, then you can practice it according to your convenience. In Sunya, we do not experience any kind of enlightenment. Our goal is to achieve peace and prosperity. If you have expectations from Sunya, you will develop a false dependency on it and it would be similar to worshipping a name or fame.

The key to practicing this by controlling your body first. After you master that, you can control your mind. Our mind, body and environment are considered to be one entity and if any harm is caused to one of them, the other two will be affected as well. - Datuk Dr. Lim Siow Jin.

Reverse Counting

Sunya originates from the Sanskrit word “Sunyata” which means emptiness. In countries like India and Malaysia, Sunya also means zero. In Indonesia, it is the root word for “Sunyi” which means calm and quiet. From practicing Sunya, you get nothing in return.

We must always remember that Sunya is a mind exercise and not a breathing exercise. Every time you breath out, you need to count once.

The best example I can give is the smartphone. Steve Jobs revolutionized the world of technology by introducing small smartphones which had nothing on their screen. This enabled him to make the phone useful for several other features like texting, audio and video recording, checking e-mails and calling people. It has not become an essential part of our life. This was achieved by having “nothing” on the screen. Therefore, when you free your mind, you get to test the true potential of your mind.

Just like how a smartphone requires to be reboot and reset, our mind works similarly. We come across various kinds of information throughout an entire day and sometimes our mind needs to reset and start over. This can avoid cases like depression and mental health problems. To reset the mind, we need to empty it and start over. By emptying your mind, I do not mean that you will stop thinking because that is practically impossible.

As long as you are alive and functioning, your mind will always be in a state of thought. People deal with problems in various ways. Some of them indulge in alcohol and smoking hash to ease their mind. Once they develop a certain level of tolerance to these items, they start consuming them in larger quantities. This is only a recipe for death. So, the million-dollar question is “How do we empty our mind?”. Modern-day gurus have various techniques that they promote. Some of them may ask you to think of a beautiful garden and much more. This would definitely calm your mind down, but it is just a short-term solution.

There are two types of such gurus. One type suggests you to embrace life and live it to the fullest while the other suggests us to let go off all materialistic items and give up all kinds of luxury. In Sunya, we turn to Reverse Counting. In this practice, you count every breath but the difference is that you count backwards. For example, one may count from 99 to 0. All you need to do is sit in the appropriate posture, that is with your legs crossed and your neck and back straight and aligned. Do not force your breath, rather, let it be natural and count accordingly. We must always remember that Sunya is a mind exercise and not a breathing exercise. Every time you breath out, you need to count once. You can repeat the process every time you reach zero.Initially when I was promoting Ganotherapy to treat physical problems, I also came across many patients with mental and emotional stress. If we came across someone who suffered some depression, we would ask them to count from 29 to 0. If this was not happening, we would suggest practicing 9 to 0 and then moving on to other levels. If you fail in your first try, there is nothing to worry about. Just like various things in life, reverse counting requires regular practice as well. Once you master this technique, you will reap the benefits in the form of serenity and peace. - Datuk Dr. Lim Siow Jin.

Peace and Love

People tend to expect something in return when they do a good deed. For instance, when someone does something good, they start hoping for their child to excel in their education. So, if you do something good, something good has to happen to you or your loved ones. That is the universal expectation. However, that is not how karma works.

Like everything in life, Karma has its own believers and disbelievers. The disbelievers spin around some sort of logic which goes completely against the teachings of Buddha.

During the initial days of DXN, I came across a case where a mother had come to me and stated that her son was not doing well in his studies and that he was as rebellious as they can get. She said that many people told her this was happening due to bad karma from her past. The people who put this thought in her head, also said that good karma can be achieved by releasing fish. She did just that and to no one’s surprise, there was no luck in terms of her son’s behavior. In fact, he got worse than how he was before. This intrigued me and I wanted to check out her son’s study area myself. I went to her house and I spotted the issue as soon as I entered.

The study table was right beside the television. How is her son supposed to study when the entire family is sitting right there, enjoying a tv show? I advised her to arrange for a study room for him and she agreed to do that. However, her son was not able to focus on his studies despite the effort put in by his mother. I spoke to him and shared few of my own experiences from my childhood. I was not great at school initially, but Sunya helped me to focus and do well in class. He followed this and he started noticing positive results. According to the law of karma, you reap what you sow.

Like everything in life, Karma has its own believers and disbelievers. The disbelievers spin around some sort of logic which goes completely against the teachings of Buddha. In the Samadhi stage, we attain peace. With this peace, we also feel the sensation of love for our surroundings and the lord that we worship. The first step towards achieving peace and tranquility is to eliminate negative thoughts and feelings. Feelings like love does not come with practice. It is a more natural process. Practicing feelings will soon turn into worship.

Once you begin to worship a name or form, you begin to start following few views and practices. If someone does not agree with their ideologies, conflicts arise and that leads to war. There are certain practitioners who ask us to fill our hearts with love and compassion, but that’s not how it works. Love comes naturally and there is no way you can control it.

In Sunya, everyone is allowed to follow their own religions and practices. We do not impose any sort of feelings and ideologies on them. We follow reverse counting as our main practice. However, we are careful of not crossing the line between worshiping and following. If truth be told, we actually ask you to discard reverse counting when you attain inner peace and make you focus on the breathing. Since Sunya is a concept that was started by Buddha, many people have asked me if we should place a statue of Buddha at our Sunya center. I told them that the best way of acknowledging his contribution to Sunya is by practicing his teachings and not by placing a statue since that leads to worship.

Peace and love can be achieved through regular practice of Sunya. Based on our calculations, if 3% of the world’s population practiced Sunya, we can achieve world peace and eradicate poverty. Chong, our engineer, applied this method and soon benefited from its results. He felt peace and serenity once again. With this, we can conclude by saying that we can achieve peace and quietude by putting an end to negative thoughts and having a more positive outlook on life. - Datuk Dr. Lim Siow Jin

Worship to No Name and Form

Over recent times, many people were curious to understand if Sunya is a religion or if it was promoting Buddhism. How do you define a religion? For me, I consider three things when I deem a text to be religious. First, there must be a Father or a Supreme Being. Second, there must be a Supreme Abode or the Kingdom of God. Finally, there must be few practices and rituals for you to qualify as a follower or believer of that religion.

The only thing closest to God is the theory of the Soul. Buddhists are said to not believe in the soul.

Buddha often stated that there is a Supreme Consciousness that filters through time and space. Many religions claim that God created this world. But according to Buddha, this world is the manifestation of the Supreme Consciousness. However, he avoided giving a name to the consciousness. He also said that every human can have only one Father but many teachers. He described himself as a teacher rather than a Father. Because of this, many people accused Buddha of being an atheist even though many of his followers were whole-hearted believers of other religions and he never
influenced or stood in anyone’s way.

The only thing closest to God is the theory of the Soul. Buddhists are said to not believe in the soul. In fact, during a conversation between a Buddhist and a Hindu, the latter maintained that their religions were alike. Nevertheless, the Buddhist contradicted his statement and said that they are not the same because Hindus believe in the soul or aatma. This goes to show that nowadays Buddhists are misinterpreting the teachings of Buddha. We need to define what a soul is or is meant to be. As mentioned earlier, Buddha stated that we are the manifestation of the supreme consciousness. Our soul is the element of our body that is key during our reincarnation at the kingdom of God. Our body and consciousness can never be uncoupled.

Supreme Consciousness spans over time, space and worldly manifestations. It only occupies a tiny spec of our lives.

The practice of Sunya is categorized into three distinct levels:
  1. The first level is to harmonize your mind and body.
  2. The advanced level is to synchronize your mind and body with the environment. This is to attain prosperity.
  3. The supreme level is to mesh and integrate your consciousness with the supreme consciousness.
Buddha originally avoided giving a name to supreme consciousness as his disciples were from different background and religions. God never asked you to worship his name, he asked to follow his teachings and rituals. Even in religious texts like the Bible, Upanishad and Quran, it is clearly stated that the preachers and followers should not worship the Lord’s name but follow his teachings. In the Upanishad, it is mentioned that you should do your duty and follow your karma and not irrationally worship the name or nameless, as well as the form or formless.

In Sunya, we never preach any name or form and we do not worship to any God. That preference is totally up to you. It is the basic right of every Sunyatee to worship a god or not. We shall not interfere. This just proves how Sunya is far from a religion. - Datuk Dr. Lim Siow Jin

Hosna El Yasmine Success Story

Hosna El Yasmine
DXN Member since 03 October 2017

Ambassador of Hope
From a Chance Encounter to a Crown Ambassadorship

In October 2017, my husband Badr Al-Akkad and I were on a tourist trip to Malaysia. We didn't know then that this trip would be a turning point in our lives, and that fate would bring us a message that would reshape our vision for the future.

Our destination was the charming island of Langkawi. Along the way, we stopped by at Time Square shopping mall. That was when we had our first encounter with Royal Ambassador Othman Al-Qadi, who was just beginning his journey with DXN. He was a friendly man. He greeted us with a bright smile and eyes that radiated confidence and reassurance. The conversation began with a spontaneous question about a currency exchange office, but it soon quickly turned into a deep discussion that illuminated a new path for us.

Ambassador Othman told us that he was a Sudanese residing in Malaysia. Therefore, when he learned that we were from Morocco, he welcomed us as if we were family. He did not hesitate to help us book flight tickets to Langkawi and accompanied us to his travel office. It was there that we first noticed unfamiliar products on the table.

"Have you ever heard of DXN?" he asked with a smile on his face.
"No, this is the first time we’ve heard about it,” we replied honestly.

Our curiosity piqued after I asked him about a product that would benefit my father, who was suffering from tremors. Although the purpose of the meeting was purely touristic, the conversation took a different turn, as if fate was guiding us towards a greater message.

Mr. Othman Al-Qadi suggested that I register with the company and purchase the products that would help my father with his condition. At the same time, I could benefit from the company's generous financial system as well. It seemed strange, but by the grace of Almighty Allah —and my firm belief that opportunity rarely knocks twice, and that only those with insight and perseverance can seize it before it passes—that I took action.

I registered with DXN and got a membership number, which was a good omen for me and my team members from all over the world.

After returning from the trip, we met again with Mr. Othman Al-Qadi and his brother Mr. Yasser Ahmed. This time, he invited us to visit DXN headquarters.

"If you are lucky, you will meet Dr. Lim, the owner and founder of the company." His words stuck with me as we made our way to the headquarters.

Sure enough, as if fate had willed it, we were greeted with a big surprise.

The founder, Datuk Lim Siow Jin himself, entered the hall. We witnessed how the other leaders rushed to take photos with him. It was a very inspiring moment for us. In that moment, we came to believe that this company carries a meaningful mission—that it stands for something far greater than business alone.

Mr. Yasser introduced us to him and told him that we were from Morocco. Then, the unexpected happened. Datuk Lim approached me and asked for a copy of my passport. He also told us that a delegation was sent to Morocco to execute key transactions and obtain the necessary licenses for launching DXN’s operations in the country. At that moment, I was confused as to why he requested a copy of my passport. Then came the unexpected answer. He told us, “Once all procedures and licensing requirements for establishing the main branch are finalized, you will be authorized to open a sales point in any city of your choice within Morocco.” Our reactions ranged from joy to astonishment while everyone was struggling to grasp the situation. However, the leader and ambassador Yasser Ahmed, simply exclaimed, “Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar, praise be to Allah, you are truly lucky, you are truly lucky.”

We started taking things seriously as our dream began to form. We returned to Morocco, carrying a new vision in our hearts. We were no longer the same individuals who had set out for a holiday. Instead, we came back with a profound mission: to make a difference, to share this project with the world, and to redefine the meaning of success.

We began our first steps by spreading DXN products. With the support and encouragement from Crown Ambassadors Othman Al-Qadi and Yasser Ahmed Al-Qadi, we began our journey of challenge and beginning: DXN’s Entry into Morocco.

Before DXN established its strong presence in the Kingdom of Morocco and achieved the prominence and success it enjoys today, its beginnings were marked by numerous difficulties and challenges. Yet, those early days were also defined by unwavering faith in the mission of this global company.

The path was far from easy from the very beginning. We took upon ourselves the burden of conveying this noble message to our beloved homeland, Morocco. The first two years—prior to the opening of the main branch in Casablanca—were marked by significant and numerous challenges. Our primary mission during that time was to introduce the company and share its noble vision, all while meeting the growing demand for its products by importing them directly from Malaysia. This was the biggest challenge, as the products had not yet been officially licensed by the state at that time. Yet, we remained steadfast in our belief that challenges forge determination, and that setbacks are what shape true leaders. We knew that reaching the summit is impossible without stumbles along the way. This unwavering conviction became our driving force, and our motto was clear: to succeed, and only to succeed—no other option existed.

Then came the greatest challenge: Corona Virus!

In 2020, the pandemic swept the world, everything stopped.

To me, this was not a sign for me to stop, this was a new beginning.

My husband and I took advantage of the lockdown period to spread awareness on the importance of immune support and natural prevention. As a result, the demand for DXN products grew rapidly, affirming their effectiveness and unique value in such a critical time.

To us, the project was not merely a business venture, but a profound message of purpose and life.

A message promoting health, personal freedom, and economic dignity for Moroccans.

Guided by genuine dedication, our team led with heart, sharing knowledge and experience with all, and ultimately became a source of inspiration for a new generation of leaders.

Throughout this journey, we met distinguished leaders who left a lasting impact in Morocco, along with other rising stars who illuminated DXN’s path with their brilliance.

Years of diligent work, effort, and perseverance have resulted in real change in the lives of many:

• Families who owned homes
• Young people who bought cars
• And others who provided a decent life for their families

As for us, the dream turned into reality.

Today, on May 20th 2025, I am honored to be the first Moroccan woman to attain the prestigious title of Crown Ambassador of DXN in both Morocco and Africa. This title is a source of deep pride—not because it came by chance, but because it is the result of unwavering faith, relentless effort, and steadfast perseverance. I share this accomplishment with my husband, the leader Badr Al-Akad, who has been my greatest support and loyal companion throughout this journey—a journey marked by challenges, growth, and, ultimately, success.

We extend our deepest gratitude to Crown Ambassadors Othman Al-Qadi and Yasser Ahmed Al-Qadi, who have been the cornerstone of our journey—steadfast supporters and constant sources of inspiration throughout. We also thank our incredible team, whose dedication and efforts have made a profound difference on this remarkable journey.

Our heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation go to Datuk Lim Siow Jin for his inspiring vision, which has empowered us to transform countless lives for the better—both financially and in terms of health. Your wise leadership and innovative ideas have profoundly opened new horizons for us and those we serve. We are truly grateful for your extraordinary generosity and guidance.

Our story does not end here...
It is merely the beginning.

The future holds countless opportunities for those courageous enough to dream and determined enough to turn those dreams into reality.

Meeting with the Pastor

When it comes to Sunya, I have always emphasized that it is a practice and not a religion. It does not interfere with the beliefs of any religion and the Sunyatee have the freedom to practice their respective faiths. Just like you don’t need to switch religions to practice something like Karate, Sunya works the same way.

Practicing Sunya only makes you a better person. Rather than being anti-religion, Sunya actually makes people believe more in their faith.

However, there are several gurus and practitioners of certain religions who are not happy with Sunya. They criticize it on a frequent basis. At times, we have actually met these people in person and have convinced them that Sunya is not anti-religion. It is only practiced to achieve peace and prosperity. Nevertheless, they still don’t like the factor of non-attachment in our practice. The word Sunya itself means nothing and that irks them. The gurus consider Sunya to be null and void and they confuse it for nihilism. Many gurus and teachers do not preach their religion through their ancient and holy texts. This is a dangerous approach because this can cause a lot of misunderstanding and misinterpretation which could lead to fights and wars. Sometimes, these gurus criticize Sunya and it is our right to stand up for our practice.

In this article, I am going to talk about a meeting I had with a Pastor. This Pastor that I am referring to is our very own Chong’s Pastor. Chong and his wife are devoted Christians and the Pastor is like a father to them. One evening, I was at Chong’s house as I had decided to pay him a visit. However, I was not the only person who thought of paying him a visit that day because we were accompanied by the Pastor a while later.

When Mrs. Chong went to open the door for the Pastor, Chong pulled me aside and asked me to talk kindly to the Pastor so that I don’t offend him. The Pastor was a gentle, soft spoken man. He smiled and shook my hand when we introduced ourselves to each other. After a while, our discussion began. The Pastor asked me why I wouldn’t just worship Jesus and go to him. Why go through the difficulty of meditating and reincarnating from one life to another? I told the Pastor that reincarnation is a separate phenomenon by itself, and it was up to him if he wanted to believe it or not. I explained further that the concept of reincarnation had nothing with the meditation that I perform. He was not convinced with the explanation and he continued to urge me to focus my mind and believe in Jesus.

I asked the Pastor if God knew everything and he replied by saying that God knows everybody and loves everyone. Then I asked him if God knew about the Wisdom Tree and the Forbidden Fruit that was consumed by Adam. The Pastor replied with affirmation. To that I asked him if God knew that the fruit was forbidden, why did he go ahead and let Adam get punished? The Pastor smiled and told me not to judge God’s intention. He said that we as humans, are images of God and the ability to make a choice is His gift for mankind. God gives you the freedom to choose what you want in life.

I asked the Pastor if God would ever take back this gift and he told me that God loves us and he would never do that. Even when we die and go to heaven, our will power will always remain intact. The next question I asked him was if the angels in heaven were beautiful. The Pastor was amused by this question and he said that they were beautiful. “So, if they are really beautiful, can I make them my wives?” I asked. This infuriated the Pastor and he said, “When you’re in heaven, God shall cleanse your mind and you shall not to do such things.” I told him that I would still be able to make them my wife because of the will power that God bestowed on me. And according to the Pastor, God never takes back his gifts. However, he stuck by his theory that the Lord would not let such acts happen in heaven.

I brought up a story of a Pastor who had slept with a lady of the church and this had caused havoc. I asked the pastor if such acts could not be controlled in church, then how could you expect it to be controlled in heaven in Christianity, Jesus says that he is the pathway to enter the kingdom of God. I asked the Pastor if we should follow his path physically or if we should follow his advice. He told me that we should follow His advice. I told the Pastor that this is exactly why we practice meditation, in order to not have urges when we enter heaven.

Finally, the Pastor agreed that our practice is important as well. Sometimes we believe in God, sometimes we don’t. We remember him we are in trouble, but sometimes we forget about him when we are having a good time. Some practitioners say that God sends people to hell if they don’t allow his advice. This is false because a parent would not do the worst to their child for not listening to them. Even when Adam ate the forbidden fruit, God did not send him to hell, he only banished him from Eden and sent him to our imperfect world to cleanse his mind. Therefore, if you cleanse your mind by meditation and go to heaven, you will not be banished from heaven. Practicing Sunya only makes you a better person. Rather than being anti-religion, Sunya actually makes people believe more in their faith. The Pastor did not want to extend this conversation further, meanwhile, Chong and his wife were seated like statues. Ever since that confrontation, the pastor never bothered Chong and wife for practicing Sunya. I would like to repeat that in Sunya, we do not discuss about reincarnation or God. We only touch the surface of the topic and never deep dive into it. - DATUK DR. LIM SIOW JIN

Four Realizations

The ultimate goal of practicing Sunya is to attain peace and prosperity. Sometimes we need to ask ourselves why we are not happy.

There are basically four reasons as to why this could happen. I would like to address them as four realizations.

The First Realization is that the world is far from perfect. Despite there being numerous religions, none of them actually try to justify that our world is perfect. Because it is a fact that it isn’t.

This article was just to highlight the causes of unhappiness and a technique to train your mind to confront and face it.

If the world was perfect, the concept of an afterlife or heaven and hell would not exist. The fact that exists is due to our world not being satisfactory and perfect. There are two common problems that pertain from this ideology, we either do not get what we want or we do are forced to do something that we do not prefer.

To achieve inner peace, we need to learn how to manage both the success and adversities in life.

The Second Realization is that regardless of you being happy or not, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, the earth continues its rotation and revolution. In short, time never stops for anyone regardless of their state of mind and well-being. So basically, the second realization is that our happiness is just our state of mind. It has no relation with how the world functions or any other external, physical factors.

The Third Realization is that happiness is just a mental state and hence, we can train our mind to attain peace and happiness.

The Fourth Realization is that there are ways by which we can train our mind to achieve happiness. Some gurus and babas encourage practices like worshiping names and statues and forms. This is wrong and you will not achieve what you put your mind to. Just like the world, our mind is not perfect as well.
There are many complications, most of which can be overcome.

If there is an issue with the body, there will also be an issue with the mind since they are basically connected. A healthy body enables us to have a peaceful mind. Once your mind and body are harmonized, you need to form a connection with the environment as well. The mind, body and environment are three inseparable elements. If any one of them is harmed, the others are harmed accordingly. To synchronize your mind and body is the basic level of Sunya and to synchronize your mind and body with the environment is the advanced level. This article was just to highlight the causes of unhappiness and a technique to train your mind to confront and face it. - DATUK DR. LIM SIOW JIN

What is Sunya?

With this, we are going into the formal teachings of Sunya. Right from the basics, all the way up to the advanced level. Sunya is based on the teachings in Maha Anapana Smrti. Maha means great or advanced, Anapana means breathing in and out and Smrti means to hold your mind in focus without exerting any effort. It is the spontaneous focus of our mind. This could be mistaken for the word “mindfulness” which has a completely different meaning.

Samatha is a practice that leads to a tranquil and serene state of mind. Vipasyana is the act of observing introspectively.

If you are exerting a substantial amount of effort to carry out meditation, then you must be doing it wrong. Smrti is a compressed word but when we expand the meaning, it actually means Samatha Vipasyana. Samatha is a practice that leads to a tranquil and serene state of mind. Vipasyana is the act of observing introspectively. You must never put in a great deal of effort to practice Vipasyana. It is used to calming down your mind. The more effort you put into it, the more confused your mind gets and this completely beats the chief principle of Vipasyana.

Unfortunately, due to the erroneous interpretation of these words, many meditation schools practice a stern and rigorous method which includes sitting with your legs crossed for hours together. They force students to spend a great deal of time in meditation. Due to the rigidity in their training, many practitioners tend to be filled
with emotions and do not have a calm state of mind. In basic Samatha Vipasyana or BSV, we focus on harmonizing our mind and body.

This is the real form of yoga. After synchronizing your mind and body, you need to do your duty and interact with the surrounding environment. That is called Maha Samatha Vipasyana or MSV. By environment, we mean anything outside your mind and body. The right practice of Sunya does not involve any excessive effort in any practice.

Practicing Sunya is like tuning a guitar. If you tune it too hard, the string may break. But if the string is too loose, you cannot play music. Meditation is not to train you to go sleep but on the contrary, it is to train you to stay awake.

Therefore, the right amount of effort is crucial and pivotal. So, what is the right effort in Sunya training? Initially we ask our students to reverse count from 99 to 0. One count for every breath they take. This takes around 12 to 15 minutes. For those who cannot do it, we ask them to reduce the count to 30 and to reverse count from 29 to 0.

Many people ask me what the best time is to practice Sunya. Any time of the day that you feel is okay to dedicate to Sunya is the best time. You should avoid doing it before or after a shower, before or after a heavy meal and before or after a heavy exercise session. During Sunya, the pores on our skin open up to breathe in and out and to detox waste. The most important lesson and advice that I will give you today is to not put too much effort while practicing Sunya. Another common question I get is if a woman on her period could practice Sunya. The answer is definitely yes as Sunya does no harm to the body or to the menstrual cycle.

As claimed by modern-day gurus, when you detach yourself from disturbances in the mind, miraculous abilities do occur with the power that your mind releases. But these “miraculous abilities” are not possible in real life. Sunya’s only aim is to attain peace and prosperity. How far can you go if you practice Sunya regularly? According to Buddha, you can go very far. In this life, you can achieve the state of Arhant, meaning, a person who is free and can enter and leave this world as per his wish.

Achieving peace of mind and showing love to your fellow beings is what Sunya stands for. Words like Samatha Vipasyana have been derived from Sanskrit, but you do not need to learn the language. The peace and serenity that we obtain cannot be described by any language. - Datuk Dr. Lim Siow JIn

Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5 | Health Testimony of Dr. Cathy Beldia

One of the DXN Testimony of Dr. Cathy Beldia who, a say's this:

A Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5 — That’s what the doctor told me about my condition. My kidneys won’t be able to perform its normal function anymore. It was the most shattering news in my life.

My doctor said that there are two treatments available for me: dialysis or kidney transplantation. Both process cost a lot. But to have an immediate relief to my worsening condition was to undergo hemodialysis treatment.

Hemodialysis is not easy to endure. On January 2010 two tubes were embedded on the upper right side of my chest, allowing my blood to flow through the machine for filtering. The clean blood was then returned to my body. This procedure was designed to eliminate the harmful wastes and keep the proper balance of chemicals in my body. It was done twice a week. I have no choice but to go through the process again and again in order for me to survive.

The physical suffering can not equal with the emotional and mental torture I felt during that time. I never thought of having this kind of illness. I didn’t feel any warning signs. I thought that only old people will suffer this kind of disease, but I can’t believe that at 23 years old I am already into it. I wept and wished this was only a bad dream!

Then Marlene Formaran came along to introduce the DXN products. Even when undergoing dialysis, I took 10-15 pairs of RG/ GL capsules, 12 Spirulina tablets, 4-6 Cordyceps tablets plus glasses of Roselle Juice and Spica Tea per day. I felt comfortable taking them together with my medications.

After several days of continuously taking the products, I began to notice a change in my body’s reactions. Based from my last laboratory test, my creatinine level normalizes. Today, I am completely freed from the bondage of my illness. I could say, thanks to God, to my loving parents, to DXN and to all the people whose prayers had made me well.
